VaNGO was established as the overall body to oversee all the non-government organizations, including communities and church organizations operating on the island of Vaitupu. This body will work wih the Kaupule (Council) to execute and implement the Vaitupu Island Strategic Plan (Te Kafateke), and other community projects and development decided by the Falekaupule of V aitupu.

An Island organisation endorsed by the Kaupule and Anipule in 2024 and it was formally registered under the NGO Incorporation Act on March 7th, 2025.

Our mission is to work in partnership with the Kaupule and other development partners in the execution and implementation of development programs, projects, and other activities to increase and strengthen resilience to respond to any existential threats that threaten the existence and survival of Vaitupu.
